Different Types of Lenses

There are two main categories of contact lenses, rigid gas permeable (RGP) & soft lenses. Soft lenses are more popular as they are initially more comfortable than the RGP contact lenses.

There are many types of both RGP and Soft contact lenses, so whatever your prescription there is usually a lens to suit your requirements including single vision, multifocal or toric lenses for people with astigmatism. There are even transition contact lenses that change with the light!
